We asked Heidi & Wayne about their big day —
What made you decide to have a Bali wedding?
We decided on a Bali wedding as my husband is Balinese & having our traditional Balinese wedding I decided not long after I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful place to have our western wedding a year on. Not only of it’s beauty within the Island, scenery’s and breathtaking locations but the exceptional love and care that you get from the locals and their exquisite work and detail.
Why were you drawn to your venue?
We chose the beautiful private villa complex as overlooked rice paddies, surrounded by palm trees and had such an intimate feel the moment we visited. With already looking at many other venues we knew this was to be special and to have all our family and friends join in a private vicinity, we had our hearts set from the first sighting.
Tell us about the bride's most memorable part of the day.
Most favourite memory of the day would have to be the first dance and the Pyro's that added that extra touch. Equally, walking into the set up was beyond magical and still takes my breath away, as it felt like we were walking into a fairytale.
And what was the Groom's most memorable part of their day?
Most memorable part of the grooms day was seeing myself (his bride) walking down the isle.
Do you have any wedding planning advice for anyone else about to tie the knot?
My advice would be to take on board a wedding planner to cover all the extra aspects you may not think of, even if you think you have it all covered. This most certainly made my experience a lot less stressful and smoother flowing. *Make an album with pictures and ideas of songs, flowers, table settings etc. *Have set aside a list of your special pics you want taken for the photographers.
